Is The First World War Really Started on July 27, 1914?

The Iglesia Ni Cristo doctrine cites that the official registration of the Church with the Government of the Philippine Islands on July 27, 1914, by Felix Y. Manalo—upheld by its members to be the last messenger of God—was an act of divine providence and the fulfillment of biblical prophecy concerning the reestablishment of the Church of Christ in the Far East concurrent with the coming of the Seventh seal marking the end of days – excerpt from wikipedia.

The first world war is a very significant date for the Iglesia Ni Cristo because it is apparently the start of the restoration of the first century Church of Christ which was apostatized during the third century. The following verses are used to support the importance of July 27 as the beginning of the first world war.

Isaiah 43:5-6, Moffat – 5From the far east will I bring your offspring, and from the far west I will gather you,6I will bid the north lands give them up, and bid the south let go, bringing my sons from afar, and my daughters from the end of the earth.”
Matthew 24:6-7, NKJV – 6And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all[a] these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences,[b] and earthquakes in various places.

The church doctrines teaches that the Matthew 24:6-7 refers to the first world war.

According to the world wide web, the first world war broke up on July 28, 1914 when Austria-Hungary declare war against Serbia. The Philippines is ahead by 6 hours to Austria therefor it is either July 28 or July 29 in the Philippines if Austria-Hungary announced the ward on July 28, 1914. Some argue that the war started on June 28, 1914 when Franz Ferdinand, the archduke of Austria-Hungary was assassinated but the official declaration of war was on July 28, 1914.
